The 9th International Conference on Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence, organised by Rikkyo University, gathers researchers in Tokyo for four days of work on deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, computer vision and robotics, with proceedings in Springer LNEE and ACM.

The 9th International Conference on Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence (MLMI 2026) takes place 17 to 20 July 2026 at the Ikebukuro Campus of Rikkyo University in Tokyo, organised by the university under the theme AI-Driven Innovations for a Sustainable Future. Now in its ninth edition, the conference brings together researchers, academics and industry practitioners across the breadth of machine intelligence.

The technical scope spans deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics and AI ethics, together with applications of machine intelligence in healthcare, finance, autonomous systems and environmental sustainability. The format runs four days of presentations, discussion and networking, with keynote speakers confirmed including Prof. Xudong Jiang (Nanyang Technological University) and Prof. Dapeng Wu (IEEE Fellow, City University of Hong Kong). Accepted papers, after peer review, registration and presentation, are published in Springer's Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering series and in the ACM International Conference Proceedings Series, indexed by EI Compendex and Scopus; the conference points to ACM Digital Library proceedings from its 2018 to 2024 editions.

Submission and registration deadlines fall in June 2026 (final submission deadline 10 June, registration 30 June). For AI researchers in Japan and the wider region, MLMI 2026 offers a publication-oriented venue with indexed proceedings and an academic host. Prospective attendees should note that the conference uses third-party submission infrastructure and a generic contact mailbox; verify the current call for papers and registration details directly on the official site before committing.
