KR 2026, the 23rd International Conference on Principles of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning, runs 20–23 July 2026 in Lisbon (workshops 18–19 and 24–25 July), as part of the Federated Logic Conference (FLoC 2026) and co-located with DL 2026 and NMR 2026.

KR is the leading forum for the theory and practice of representing knowledge in explicit, declarative form for symbolic reasoning — work that underpins agents, automated planning, the semantic web and verification. The 2026 edition adds two timely special tracks, KR meets Machine Learning and Explanation and KR in the Wild, plus invited talks from Carsten Lutz, João Marques-Silva and Magdalena Ortiz, and FLoC keynotes by Alessandra Russo and Giuseppe De Giacomo.
Where it fits
As the field looks to make LLMs reliable, explainable and able to truly reason, the symbolic and neuro-symbolic methods KR has developed for decades are back at the centre of the conversation. Being part of FLoC also connects attendees to the wider logic and verification community.
