AGNTCon + MCPCon Japan 2026
📅 Thursday, 10 September 2026 → Friday, 11 September 2026 in 56 days
AGNTCon + MCPCon Japan is the Agentic AI Foundation's flagship gathering for the open agentic-AI ecosystem, hosted under the Linux Foundation umbrella at Belle Salle Shibuya Garden in Tokyo on 10–11 September 2026. The two-day programme spans the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and the wider agent landscape, examining how teams build reliable, scalable and secure agent systems in production rather than in the demo. Sessions cover core agent architectures, orchestration infrastructure, and the protocols and tooling that make agents interoperable.
This is a deliberately practitioner-heavy event. The official programme lists keynotes, technical conference sessions, an expo hall and an attendee reception across both days, with real-world case studies sitting alongside ecosystem and standards discussions. The stated audience is technical: open-source developers and contributors working on MCP and related projects, project maintainers and foundation leaders shaping governance, enterprise engineers adopting agent-based systems, platform and observability teams, and academics researching the foundations of agentic AI. Early-bird registration runs until 20 July and there is an open call for papers, so attendees can both learn and contribute. For anyone building agent infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region, it offers direct access to the people defining MCP and the surrounding open standards.
