TAAI AI Forum 2026 (28th Edition) — Tainan

📅 Friday, 3 July 2026 in 9 days

📍 Tainan, Taiwan

The 28th annual AI Forum of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence (TAAI), a one-day research and industry gathering hosted by NYCU's College of Artificial Intelligence in Tainan.

The TAAI AI Forum is the flagship annual gathering of the Taiwanese Association for Artificial Intelligence, and 2026 marks its 28th edition — a continuous run that makes it one of the most established AI events in Taiwan. For 2026 it is hosted by the College of Artificial Intelligence at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) on the Tainan campus, on a single day, July 3, 2026.

The forum is built as a high-level dialogue platform connecting universities, research institutes and industry. The keynote line-up reaches across academia and the technology sector: speakers include Ed H. Chi, Vice President of Research at Google DeepMind, an associate professor from the University of Maryland, and Hamed Tabkhi of UNC Charlotte, alongside Taiwanese academic leaders from NYCU, NTHU and Kaohsiung Medical University. Invited industry speakers come from Wistron, Phison Electronics and AUO, giving attendees a read on how Taiwan's hardware ecosystem is absorbing modern AI.

For an attendee, the value is a compact, single-day immersion in current AI research themes — spanning foundation models, intelligent computing, computer vision and applied AI in healthcare and manufacturing — delivered by a mix of global research leaders and Taiwan's own AI community. The event is co-organised by NYCU's AI College, NYCU and TAAI, with technical co-sponsorship from AMD, Intel, Wistron, AUO, ITRI and the National Center for High-performance Computing. Online registration is handled through the official AI Forum 2026 site. It is a strong fixture for researchers, graduate students and industry R&D staff wanting to track where Taiwan's AI work is heading.
