📅 Monday, 29 June 2026 → Friday, 3 July 2026 in 16 days

📍 Krakow, Poland

MLSS^R&S 2026 is a five-day doctoral summer school on AI safety, reliability and robustness, held at Jagiellonian University in Krakow from 29 June to 3 July 2026. It features invited lectures from leading academic and industry researchers, supported by ELLIS.

The Machine Learning Summer School on Reliability & Safety (MLSS^R&S 2026) runs from 29 June to 3 July 2026 at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, organised by the ML in PL Association and associated with the ELLIS network of European AI labs. It is a five-day doctoral-level summer school dedicated to selected topics in machine learning, with a deliberate focus on the safety, reliability and robustness of ML systems.

The programme is built as an intensive academic series of invited lectures delivered by a carefully selected group of researchers from academia and industry working specifically on reliability and safety - currently one of the most consequential and fast-moving areas of AI research as systems are deployed in higher-stakes settings. Sessions are hosted across the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science.

The intended audience is PhD students working in machine learning or related fields, research-oriented Master's students, and early-career researchers from both academia and industry. This is not a commercial conference but a teaching-focused school, which is exactly why it belongs in a curated directory: it is AI-core, academically credible, anchored to a named university and a recognised organiser, and it gives early-career researchers across the region a route into the AI-safety research community. Prospective participants should confirm the final lecturer list, schedule and any remaining registration windows on mlss2026.mlinpl.org.
