Data Science Summit AI Edition 2026 (18 June online, 19 June in Warsaw) is Central Europe's largest AI-dedicated conference — 1,500+ professionals, 100+ talks across 10+ tracks on LLMs, agents, RAG, computer vision, MLOps and AI business transformation.
Data Science Summit: AI Edition 2026 is the artificial-intelligence-focused edition of Poland's Data Science Summit, the largest independent data-science conference in the Central and Eastern European region. The 2026 AI Edition runs as a two-part event: an online day on Thursday 18 June 2026 and an in-person day on Friday 19 June 2026 at the Palace of Culture and Science (Kinoteka) in central Warsaw. Running every year since 2021, the AI Edition gathers 1,500+ professionals, managers and enthusiasts and features 100+ talks across 10+ tracks and three formats (live online, specially recorded VoD, and on-site presentations), supported by an industry Data Science Expo.
On the programme
The content is squarely on the current AI frontier rather than generic analytics. Published topics include artificial intelligence and ML/AI trends, large language models and the major model families (GPT, Claude, Gemini), retrieval-augmented generation, agent interoperability protocols (MCP, A2A), AI agents, NLP, computer vision, reinforcement learning, deployment and MLOps, predictive analytics, and AI-driven business transformation. The on-site day offers ten-plus parallel tracks of tight 35-minute talks and discussion panels, off-camera round tables, and structured matchmaking and networking; the online day broadens reach with live broadcasts, Q&A and an exclusive VoD library. Microsoft is the 2026 gold sponsor, with T-Mobile as main exhibitor and a roster of CEE and global technology partners.
Who runs it
The summit grew out of the Data Science Warsaw community, founded in 2014 as an informal non-profit for exchanging ideas on data science, data engineering and AI — today the largest data-science community in Poland. It is organised by the Fundacja Academic Partners, which since 2005 has run many of Poland's flagship IT and data events (Warsaw IT Days, The Hack Summit and others), together with Data Science Warsaw, giving the event deep community roots rather than a purely commercial origin.
Where it fits in today's AI
The global AI conversation is dominated by San Francisco and a few coastal hubs; Central and Eastern Europe rarely features, despite a deep bench of engineering talent and a fast-maturing startup and enterprise AI scene. DSS AI Edition is the clearest annual snapshot of that ecosystem — less hype, more deployment, with a programme that tracks exactly the shifts defining 2026: the move from chatbots to tool-using agents, the standardisation of agent communication (MCP, A2A), the production realities of RAG and MLOps, and the organisational work of putting AI into businesses. Its hybrid structure and three-month access to recordings make it genuinely accessible to practitioners across the region who cannot reach Western European or US events, and its community provenance keeps the content practitioner-led rather than vendor-driven.
