IJCNN 2027: neural networks flagship comes to Cape Town
📅 Monday, 14 June 2027 → Friday, 18 June 2027 in 369 days
IJCNN is the joint INNS/IEEE-CIS flagship on neural networks and the foundations of AI, and the 2027 edition is the first to be held in sub-Saharan Africa, in Cape Town. The regular-paper deadline of 31 January 2027 gives researchers a wide window to target a major June conference.
The International Joint Conference on Neural Networks (IJCNN) is co-organised by the International Neural Network Society and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and is one of the longest-running venues dedicated to neural networks, deep learning and the foundations of artificial intelligence. The 2027 edition runs 14-18 June at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
For an event of this scale, hosting in Cape Town is notable - it brings a top neural-networks conference to the African continent. Authors submit complete papers of up to six pages in IEEE two-column format, with regular paper submissions due 31 January 2027 and notifications in mid-March.
Earlier deadlines cover special-session, workshop, competition and tutorial proposals through late 2026, so prospective organisers as well as paper authors have entry points.
