ICVGIP 2026, India's flagship computer-vision conference, runs 21-24 December 2026 in Kolkata, hosted by the Indian Statistical Institute and TCG CREST. Now annual, it is the premier IUPRAI/IAPR venue in India for vision, graphics, image processing, pattern recognition and modern multimodal/foundation-model research. Double-blind paper deadline 31 July 2026.
ICVGIP — the Indian Conference on Computer Vision, Graphics and Image Processing — is India's foremost vision conference, running since 1998 and now held annually. The 17th edition is hosted in Kolkata by the Indian Statistical Institute with TCG CREST, under the Indian Unit for Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IUPRAI), an IAPR affiliate.
On the programme
Tracks span 2D/3D scene understanding, detection and tracking, medical and remote-sensing image analysis, 3D modelling and AR/VR, and a strong machine-learning core: vision transformers, diffusion models, geometric ML, and vision-based robotics. A dedicated “emerging areas” track covers agentic AI for vision, vision-language and multimodal foundation models, and trustworthy/assistive vision.
Where it sits in today's AI
ICVGIP is the natural home for the fast-growing South-Asian vision community and a key bridge between Indian research groups and the global CV field. For authors, the double-blind submission deadline is 31 July 2026, with the conference over the December break.
