ESSAI 2026 — the 4th European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence, Vienna, 6–10 July.
ESSAI 2026, the 4th European Summer School on Artificial Intelligence, runs 6–10 July 2026 in Vienna, organised by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI). It is a one-week intensive for PhD students, young researchers and curious seniors covering the breadth of AI.

Over 30 lecturers deliver six parallel tracks each day — introductory and advanced courses plus invited tutorials — designed so you gain a broad view of AI and the connections between its subfields, not just one narrow specialism. The 2026 edition carries two special themes: Bilateral AI (integrating sub-symbolic and symbolic reasoning) and Digital Humanism (co-located with the ACM Europe Digital Humanism Summer School), with a reception at Vienna City Hall.
