Pan-African precision agriculture conference putting AI, remote sensing and data-driven farming into practice for African smallholder and commercial system

The 4th African Conference on Precision Agriculture (AfCPA 2026) is convened by the African Association for Precision Agriculture together with the International Society of Precision Agriculture and Egypt's National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences (NARSS). It runs 1-3 December 2026 in Cairo, Egypt.

The conference brings together the science and practice needed to put precision agriculture into action across Africa, with strong emphasis on remote sensing, geospatial data, machine learning and data-driven decision tools adapted to African cropping systems. NARSS's involvement anchors the satellite and AI-analytics dimension, while ISPA lends the international precision-ag research network.

It targets scientists, crop consultants, agronomists, producers and policymakers working on digital and precision agriculture on the continent. Held in person, AfCPA is a rankable regional forum that surfaces AI and remote-sensing research often under-represented at North American and European events, making it valuable for anyone focused on computer vision, sensing and analytics for African food security. Expect peer-reviewed sessions, regional case studies and policy discussion.
