📅 Saturday, 24 October 2026 → Sunday, 25 October 2026 in 99 days
Cairo University's AI conference (2nd edition) at the Grand Celebration Hall, Giza, themed 'Responsible AI: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact' — tracks span AI strategy and policy, applied research, ethics and governance, education and inclusion, entrepreneurship and startups, and AI infrastructure.
CU AI Nexus 2026 is the second edition of Cairo University's AI conference, held on 24–25 October 2026 at the university's historic Giza campus. Convened under the theme "Responsible AI: Innovation, Inclusion, and Impact", it positions itself less as a traditional academic conference and more as a meeting point where academia, industry and government converge to demonstrate the practical, real-world application of AI. The setting is notable in itself: sessions are staged in the Grand Celebration Hall beneath the university's iconic dome.
The two-day programme combines talks, workshops and activities organised around six main tracks: supporting strategies and policies; entrepreneurship and reshaping industry; applied research and innovation across sectors; ethics, regulation and governance; education, skills and inclusion; and global and continental cooperation. Main-stage panels advertised on the official site span sovereign and open-source AI, AI safety and human oversight, governing agentic systems, the future of work, AI in education, startups, and the quantum–AI frontier, giving the event a distinctly forward-looking and policy-aware character with a clear MENA and African emphasis. Routes to participate are laid out for researchers, speakers, enterprises and startups, and students, with general attendance via open registration. For anyone tracking how Egypt and the wider region are building their AI ecosystems, CU AI Nexus offers a well-organised vantage point.
