UKAIRS 2026, the second annual UK AI Research Symposium, runs 24-25 November 2026 at the John McIntyre Conference Centre, University of Edinburgh. It is organised by Edinburgh's APRIL AI Hub and Generative AI Lab in collaboration with UKRI, Responsible AI UK, the national AI Hubs and the CDT centres.
UKAIRS positions itself as the premier national gathering for UK artificial-intelligence research, deliberately interdisciplinary: bringing together researchers from computer science, engineering, the humanities and healthcare to showcase leading work, encourage collaboration, and shape the direction of UK AI research. The programme runs parallel themed sessions alongside plenary content.
It is the key annual convening point for the UK's publicly funded AI research ecosystem, with strong policy and funder presence.
