📍 Pittsburgh, United States

A public robotics and AI day with live demos from Pittsburgh's robotics ecosystem, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center.

The Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day (RADD) 2026 is a public robotics and AI showcase held on 16 September 2026 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, organised by the Pittsburgh Robotics Network. Free and open to the public, it puts one of the world's densest robotics ecosystems on display, with live demonstrations from the companies, startups and research labs that make up the regional cluster.

Pittsburgh has a singular claim in robotics and AI: anchored by Carnegie Mellon University, the city seeded much of modern field robotics, autonomous vehicles and AI research, and it now hosts a large concentration of robotics firms. RADD turns that ecosystem outward — a discovery day where the public, students, prospective employees, customers and partners can see real robots in action, from autonomy and manipulation to inspection, medical and industrial systems. Unlike a research conference, the emphasis is on demonstration, talent and ecosystem-building: connecting the region's companies with the next generation of engineers and with potential collaborators and investors. For anyone tracking where commercial robotics talent and companies are concentrated in the United States, Pittsburgh's Discovery Day is a telling and accessible annual showcase.
