'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Artificial Intelligence: Governance and Liability' is a two-day conference at NUS Faculty of Law in Singapore. It explores how governance and liability regimes can make AI more responsible and fair, through academic and industry presentations and panels.

This NUS conference, formally titled 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Artificial Intelligence: Governance and Liability', runs 10-11 December 2026 at the Wee Chong Jin Moot Court, NUS Faculty of Law, Singapore. It is organised by the Centre for Technology, Robotics, Artificial Intelligence & the Law (TRAIL).

Across two days of presentations and panel discussions by academics and industry players, the conference examines how governance and liability regimes can push AI toward being more responsible and fairer, looking at interconnected global and national efforts and the case for multi-stakeholder approaches that align AI with human values.

Selected high-quality papers are considered for the Singapore Journal of Legal Studies. It is a focused law-and-AI venue with strong Asian and international participation.
