EDM 2026 — the Educational Data Mining conference, part of Seoul's Festival of Learning, 27 June–3 July.

EDM 2026, the International Conference on Educational Data Mining, is held in Seoul, South Korea as part of the 2026 Festival of Learning — workshops 27–28 June, main conference 29 June–3 July — alongside AIED, Learning at Scale, ISLS and SoLAR.

What you gain

EDM is the core research venue for mining the data that learning produces: knowledge and behaviour modelling, intelligent tutoring, learning analytics, instructional sequencing, and the fairness, privacy and explainability of educational AI. Co-locating with four sister communities makes the Festival an unusually rich cross-disciplinary week for researchers and ed-tech practitioners.

Where it fits

With generative AI flooding classrooms, EDM's rigorous, evidence-first tradition is the grown-up in the room — the place where claims about AI tutors are tested against real learning outcomes rather than demos, and where comparing human and artificial intelligence in learning is a first-class topic.
