AIxHRI Summer School — AI for Human–Robot Interaction, Nancy (Loria/Inria), 6–10 July.
AIxHRI — the AI for Human–Robot Interaction Summer School runs 6–10 July 2026 at the Loria and Inria Centre, Université de Lorraine, in Nancy, France. It's an intensive five-day programme of keynotes, lectures and hands-on practical sessions led by experienced AI and robotics researchers.
What you gain
Uniquely, participants are tutored to use AI models and methods on real robots — covering foundation models (LLMs, VLMs), reinforcement learning, learning from human feedback, generative/diffusion models, vision-language-action models (VLAs), human tracking, human-aware planning, and the safety and ethics of HRI. Labs are capped (~40 hands-on places), with optional poster presentations and industry engagement. Supported by the AI Grand Est ENACT cluster.
Who it's for & where it fits
Aimed at PhD and strong master's students plus academics and industry engineers with a technical background. It sits exactly at the 2026 frontier — bringing foundation-model intelligence into embodied, interactive robots.
