AI Engineer World's Fair 2026
📅 Monday, 29 June 2026 → Thursday, 2 July 2026
4th edition of AI Engineer World's Fair — the largest applied/engineering AI conference globally. June 29 - July 2, 2026 at Moscone West, San Francisco. 5,000-6,000 builders across 10+ parallel engineering tracks: LLMs, agents, evals, RAG, infrastructure, AI products. 250+ speakers. Every major frontier lab, leading AI cloud, and AI-native company present. Greg Brockman keynoted 2025; Anthropic's MCP team showcased multimodal.
The AI Engineer World's Fair is the flagship gathering for the emerging discipline of AI engineering — the practitioners building products on top of foundation models rather than training them from scratch. Held in San Francisco, it has quickly become the definitive event for the people turning LLMs and agents into shipping software.
On the programme
The format is intensely practical: multiple tracks of talks and workshops on retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation and observability, agents and tool use, fine-tuning and model routing, code generation, multimodal applications, and the infrastructure — vector stores, orchestration, guardrails — that production AI requires. Speakers come from the model labs, the tooling companies and the engineering teams running AI in production, and the expo floor is a who's-who of the LLM tool ecosystem.
Where it sits in today's AI
This is where 2026's dominant industry story — the shift from chatbots to autonomous, tool-using agents — is worked out in engineering terms rather than research ones. The fair tracks the hard problems of making agents reliable: evaluation, cost and latency, security and prompt-injection defence, and the orchestration patterns that let agents act safely. For software engineers, founders and technical leaders, it is the best single read on how to actually build with AI today, and on which tools and patterns are winning. It complements the academic conferences by focusing entirely on deployment and craft.
