AI Engineer New York 2026 — AI Engineering Meets Wall Street

📍 New York, United States

Application-only, finance-focused edition of the AI Engineer series - production AI for banking, fintech and asset management (Oct 12-14).

AI Engineer New York 2026 is a three-day, application-only conference held October 12-14, 2026 at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, produced by the AI Engineer team behind the AI Engineer World's Fair and Summit series. This edition has a sharp vertical focus captured by its tagline, Where AI Engineering Meets Wall Street: it targets finance-specific AI across banking, hedge funds, fintech, insurance and asset management, convening 1,000+ in-person AI engineers and technical leaders, 100+ speakers, and a large livestream audience. This matters now because financial services has become one of the highest-stakes proving grounds for production AI - institutions are moving past pilots into deployed agents, model-serving infrastructure and compliance-aware tooling, under regulatory and risk constraints that most consumer-AI conferences never have to address. The organizers explicitly position attendees as builders and buyers who are actively deploying, optimizing and investing in AI, not in discovery mode, which sets the tone for high-signal, production-focused content over hype.

The three-day program is structured as: Day 1 opening keynotes from industry leaders, production AI case studies from finance, and a welcome reception; Day 2 technical deep-dives and workshops, an AI infrastructure expo floor, and facilitated roundtables; and Day 3 hands-on implementation workshops, executive roundtables and closing sessions. Four pillars define the experience: production AI talks from banking, fintech and asset-management practitioners sharing real systems and infrastructure challenges; a cutting-edge expo of companies building AI infrastructure for finance (model serving, compliance tooling, agent frameworks); curated networking with CTOs, CIOs, VPs of AI/ML and technical founders; and deep-dive roundtables on AI adoption in banking, trading and insurance. The audience skews unusually senior and technical, with a high share of C-level, CTO-title and co-founder attendees alongside hands-on AI engineers and data scientists. Past speakers and attendees have come from institutions and labs including Jane Street, Bloomberg, BlackRock, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Citadel, Two Sigma, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Cursor and Meta.

The event is highly selective: admission is by application, and the organizers report a roughly 15% acceptance rate from prior NYC editions; at the time of writing, attendee applications had not yet opened and prospective attendees could sign up to be notified. There is no public call for papers or open speaker-submission process - speakers are curated/invited - so this is not a venue for unsolicited talk proposals or peer-reviewed work. It is an ideal fit for AI engineers and ML practitioners building production systems in financial services, technical leaders setting AI strategy at financial institutions, technical founders selling AI infrastructure into finance, and finance executives who need to understand what is actually shipping. Attendees should expect a dense, no-fluff program engineered to connect builders with buyers and to surface what works in production AI for finance.
